Here at Bowlers Paradise, you can have your name (and numbers too) engraved on your custom bowling ball.  This add-on service takes about 1-2 days and costs a reasonable $12.95. It’s definitely worth the wait, as you’ll always know which ball is yours, even if someone happens to have one that looks just like it!

Why do people have their own bowling balls?

Investing in your own personalized bowling ball means playing with tailor-fitted inserts, so you don’t have to worry about hurting your fingers after several throws. Consistency is critical, and since you’re using the same customized bowling ball for every game, it can help you improve your performance.

House balls also tend to be flawed most of the time, and these chips and blemishes can get in the way of your game.

Where should I aim my custom bowling ball?

It depends on the amount of oil and its lane placement. That’s why you must familiarize yourself with the proper dots and arrows, which will help you line up your shot.

Generally speaking, the best place to start is at the 15-board. Be sure to roll your ball on the second arrow! And, should you miss the pocket, you can change the path by adjusting your stance and moving your feet in the direction of the missed shot. Just make sure to keep your target the same and practice until you have a feel for how much you need to adjust your stance.
